of <h1>Central Government Amends Import Exemptions for Refineries under Customs Act, 1962 with New Sub-clause (g) in Notification</h1> Notification No. 67/97-Cus, dated September 8, 1997, amends Notification No. 36/97-Cus to provide exemptions for imports against a special imprest licence. The amendment is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest by the Central Government. Specifically, it inserts a new sub-clause (g) in the Explanation of the original notification, which includes goods listed in List 8A of the Annexure to Notification No. 11/97-Cus, dated March 1, 1997, intended for supply to any refinery established under the Ninth Five Year Plan.
