of <h1>EPCG Scheme Update: Bio-tech Products Now Included in Customs Notification No. 29/97-Customs, Effective August 26, 1998.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 29/97-Customs under the EPCG Scheme to include bio-tech products. This amendment, effective from August 26, 1998, modifies the original notification dated April 1, 1997. The changes involve substituting the words 'products of horticulture, floriculture and poultry' with 'products of horticulture, floriculture, poultry and bio-tech products' in paragraph 1, clause (i), and similarly modifying references to sectors in paragraph 2, conditions (2) and (5), to include the bio-tech sector alongside viticulture, poultry, and sericulture sectors.
