<h1>India Lifts Export Bans on 18 Commodities, Including Tobacco and Sandalwood Oil, Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Government of India, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has rescinded 18 notifications that previously prohibited the export of specific commodities. These commodities include tobacco, bristles, wool, lemon grass oil, sandalwood oil, goat hair, bidi tobacco flakes, myrobalans, oil of vetiver, walnut, palmarosa oil, vegetable oils, animal casings, tendu leaves, onions, pulses, table potatoes, and sann hemp. This decision is made in the public interest, effectively lifting the export restrictions on these items as specified in the notifications listed in the table.
