of <h1>Central Government Updates Exchange Rates for Import Duties: New Rates for Multiple Currencies Announced</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 52/98-Cus. (N.T.), adjusting the exchange rates for certain foreign currencies used in calculating duties on imported goods. Effective from September 18, 1998, the revised rates are as follows: Australian Dollar at 25.40 INR, Canadian Dollar at 28.40 INR, Deutsche Mark at 25.20 INR, Dutch Guilder at 22.30 INR, French Franc at 7.50 INR, Swiss Franc at 30.60 INR, and Singapore Dollar at 24.90 INR. Additionally, for 100 units, Belgian Francs are set at 122.00 INR and Japanese Yen at 32.20 INR.
