<h1>New Exchange Rates for Imported Goods Set by Notification No. 67/99-Cus (N.T.), Effective January 1, 2000</h1> Notification No. 67/99-Cus. (N.T.), dated December 28, 1999, issued by the Central Government, supersedes Notification No. 64/99-Cus. (N.T.) for determining exchange rates for imported goods under the Indian Stamp Act, 1899, and the Customs Act, 1962. Effective January 1, 2000, the exchange rates for various foreign currencies into Indian Rupees are specified in two schedules. Schedule I lists the rate for one unit of currency, including the US Dollar at 43.70 INR and the Euro at 44.30 INR. Schedule II provides rates for 100 units, such as the Japanese Yen at 42.60 INR.
