of <h1>Central Government amends excise rules: Duty rate for tyre sets now totals individual components' duties. Table reference updated.</h1> Notification No. 135/86-C.E., dated March 1, 1986, issued by the Central Government under rule 8(1) of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, amends a previous notification (No. 43/85-Central Excises, dated March 17, 1985). The amendment specifies that when tyres, tubes, or flaps are packaged and removed as a set, the duty rate will be the total of the duties applicable to each component. Additionally, in the Table, the reference for S. No. 3 in column (3) is updated from 'S. Nos. 2 and 3 above' to 'S. Nos. 1 and 2 above.'
