of <h1>Excise Duty Reduced on Certain Travel Goods Under Rule 8, Excluding Predominantly Plastic Items, to 25% Ad Valorem.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, exempts certain travel goods from a portion of the excise duty specified in the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985. This exemption applies to goods under sub-heading No. 4201.10, excluding those predominantly made of plastics. The excise duty levied is reduced to an excess amount calculated at a rate of twenty-five percent ad valorem.
