of <h1>Certain Iron and Steel Products Exempt from Excise Duty Under Specific Conditions; Mill Scale at 12% Duty Rate</h1> The notification exempts certain iron and steel products from excise duty under specific conditions. Ingot moulds used in steel ingot production, foundry grade iron with high phosphorus content, and certain ferrous waste and scrap are exempt from duty if used or produced under specified conditions. Ferro-alloys, excluding ferro-molybdenum, are exempt if used in manufacturing specified goods and following certain procedures. Goods from Chapters 72 or 73 produced in Central Government ordnance factories and intended for specific uses are also exempt. Mill scale is subject to a 12% duty rate.
