<h1>Central Government Amends Duty Credit Rules for Ethyl Alcohol; Updates Eligible Products List Under Notification 231/87-C.E.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 231/87-C.E. regarding the credit of duty on the use of Ethyl Alcohol in specified products. The amendment modifies the proviso to condition (ii), allowing manufacturing either inside the factory or in any other factory of the same manufacturer. Additionally, the Table listing final products eligible for duty credit has been updated. The products include Acetaldehyde, Acetic Acid, Acetone, Butadiene, Butanol, and several others such as Ethyl Acetate, Low Density Polyethylene, and Styrene butadiene rubber, among others, under various heading numbers of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985.
