of <h1>Govt amends excise notifications: 'Cattle feed' now 'animal feed' and updates rates to Rs. 2 per litre under section 5A.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 8/90-C.E. and 12/90-C.E. under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, as per Notification No. 104/90-C.E. dated May 16, 1990. The amendments involve replacing 'cattle feed' with 'animal feed' in Notification No. 8/90-C.E. and modifying the entry against Sl. No. 4 in the table of Notification No. 12/90-C.E. to 'Rs. 2 per litre.' These changes are made in the public interest under the authority granted by section 5A of the Act.
