of <h1>Amendment to Notification No. 82/84-C.E.: 'Capital Goods' Added to Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, Effective May 3, 1991.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 82/84-C.E. dated March 31, 1984, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944. This amendment, effective from May 3, 1991, modifies the existing notification by replacing the term 'components and raw materials' with 'capital goods, components and raw materials' throughout the document. This change is made in the interest of the public and falls under the miscellaneous exemptions related to central excise tariffs.
