of <h1>Braille Watches Exempted from Excise Duty Under Notification No. 54/94-C.E. for Public Benefit</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 54/94-C.E. dated March 1, 1994, under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, exempting Braille watches classified under Heading Nos. 91.01 or 91.02 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985, from the entire excise duty. This exemption is granted in the public interest, removing the excise duty specified in the tariff schedule for these items.
