Duty reduction for insulated ware effected by substitution of an ad valorem rate through a tariff notification amendment. Tariff amendment substitutes the entry in column (4) against serial number 22 of the Table to Notification No. 15/94-Central Excises (1 March 1994) to prescribe a 10% ad valorem duty on insulated ware, effected by the Central Government under its statutory power and stated to be in the public interest.
