Central Govt. Notification: Excise-Free Movement of Intermediate Goods for Exporters with Advance Licence & Duty Exemption
Notification No. 33/90-C.E. (N.T.), dated September 5, 1990, issued by the Central Government under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, allows the movement of excisable intermediate goods without payment of duty to manufacturers of resultant articles. This is contingent upon the manufacturer holding or applying for an Advance Intermediate Licence and supplying goods to an ultimate exporter with a Duty Exemption Entitlement Certificate. Conditions include adherence to specified quantities, export obligations, and registration with the Assistant Collector of Central Excise. The ultimate exporter must maintain detailed records and enter into a bond to ensure compliance with excise rules.
