of <h1>Central Government amends 1997 notification: Updates sub-rule references and forms for Modvat credit on exported goods.</h1> The notification dated September 15, 1997, issued by the Central Government under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, amends an earlier notification from March 1, 1987. It modifies the references in the notification to update the sub-rule from '(3)' to '(13)' in the opening paragraph. Additionally, it revises the Appendix by replacing references to 'form RG 23A' with 'form RG 23A or the deemed credit register maintained in respect of textile fabrics, as the case may be,' in both paragraph 6 and Form A, paragraph II. This pertains to Modvat credit refunds for inputs used in goods exported under bond.
