of <h1>India Launches Diamond Imprest Authorisation Scheme for Exporters Under Chapter 4 of Foreign Trade Policy 2023.</h1> The Government of India has introduced the 'Diamond Imprest Authorisation' (DIA) scheme under Chapter 4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023, effective from April 1, 2025. This scheme allows eligible exporters with a Two Star Export House status or higher and a minimum annual export performance of US$ 15 million in Cut & Polished Diamonds over the past three financial years to import Natural Cut and Polished Diamonds. The imports are exempt from various duties and taxes, with an export obligation of 10% value addition. Imports and exports must occur through Mumbai Airport, and the authorization is non-transferable.
