Basic customs duty reduction on specified edible oils implemented, substituting lower duty entries and effective mid June. The Central Government amends a prior customs notification by substituting the Table entries at serial numbers 2 and 6 with a 12.5% basic customs duty for specified crude and refined soya, sunflower and palm oils; the amendment is made in the public interest and takes effect from 15 June 2023.
