of <h1>Puducherry GST Act Amended: New 6% Rate for Fly Ash Bricks and Tiles; 2.5% Rate Entries Omitted.</h1> The Government of Puducherry has amended the notification G.O. Ms. No. 1/2017-Puducherry GST (Rate), dated 29th June 2017, under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from April 1, 2022, the amendment omits certain entries from Schedule I, which had a GST rate of 2.5%. It also adds new entries to Schedule II with a GST rate of 6%, including items such as fly ash bricks, bricks of fossil meals, building bricks, and earthen or roofing tiles. This change is enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor on the Council's recommendation.
