of <h1>Assam Government Amends GST Tax Schedules: Key Changes in Schedules I, II, and III Effective April 2020.</h1> The Government of Assam, through the Finance (Taxation) Department, has issued Notification No. 3/2020-State Tax (Rate) amending the previous notification dated 29th June 2017 under the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendments involve changes in tax schedules: in Schedule I (2.5%), serial number 187 is omitted; in Schedule II (6%), a new entry '75A. 3605 00 10 All goods' is added, and serial numbers 202 and 203 are omitted; in Schedule III (9%), serial number 73 is omitted, and serial number 379 is updated to 'All goods.' These changes are effective from 1st April 2020.
