of <h1>Chhattisgarh Mandates Aadhaar Authentication for Non-Individual GST Registrations; Alternatives Offered per Rule 9 for April 2020 Onward.</h1> The Government of Chhattisgarh, through Notification No. 19/2020, mandates that certain non-individual entities undergo Aadhaar authentication for GST registration, effective April 1, 2020. This requirement applies to all authorized signatories, managing and authorized partners of partnership firms, and the Karta of Hindu undivided families. If Aadhaar is not available, alternative identification methods as per rule 9 of the Chhattisgarh GST Rules, 2017, will be provided. This measure is enacted under the Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following recommendations from the Council.
