of <h1>Puducherry Amends GST Interest Rates for Late Payments; Different Rates for Turnovers Above and Below 5 Crores.</h1> The Government of Puducherry issued a notification amending the interest rates on late tax payments under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. For taxpayers with an aggregate turnover exceeding 5 crores in the previous financial year, the interest rate is set at 9% for the first 15 days post-due date and 18% thereafter for March, April, and May 2021. For those with a turnover up to 5 crores, the interest is nil for the first 15 days, 9% for the subsequent days, and 18% thereafter, varying slightly for each month. These changes are effective from May 18, 2021.
