of <h1>Meerut University Gains Approval Under Section 35(1)(ii) Income-tax Act for Scientific Research Funding Compliance</h1> The Meerut University has been approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, as notified by the Secretary of the Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi. The approval is subject to conditions that the university must maintain a separate account for funds received for scientific research and submit an annual return of its scientific research activities by April 30th each year. This notification, identified as No. 0002, is effective from August 4, 1976.
