These bonds, known as the 2006 (Series-I), are valued at five lakh rupees each, offering an interest rate of 9.70% per annum over seven years, with a total issuance amount of sixty crores rupees. They are identified by distinctive numbers from 9029 to 10228. The tax-free benefit applies only if the bondholder registers their name and holding with the NCRPB.
