of <h1>Tamil Nadu Amends GST Schedules: Removes Items, Adds New Entries for Bags and Containers Effective January 2020.</h1> The Government of Tamil Nadu has amended Notification No. II(2)/CTR/532(d-4)/2017, originally dated June 29, 2017, under the Tamil Nadu Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendments involve changes in tax schedules: in Schedule II (6%), serial numbers 80AA and 171A are removed; in Schedule III (9%), new entries 163B and 163C are added, covering woven and non-woven bags and sacks of polyethylene or polypropylene, and flexible intermediate bulk containers. These changes are effective from January 1, 2020, as per the notification issued by the Principal Secretary to the Government.
