of <h1>Puducherry Amends GST Notification: Cement Under Chapter 2523 Added to Tax Schedule Effective October 1, 2019.</h1> The Government of Puducherry has issued an amendment to Notification G.O. Ms. No.7/2019 concerning the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates. Effective from October 1, 2019, the amendment modifies the entry for serial number 2 in the original notification. The new entry specifies that 'Cement falling in chapter heading 2523 in the first schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975' is covered under this notification. This change is enacted under the authority of the Puducherry GST Act, 2017, following recommendations from the Council, and is ordered by the Lieutenant-Governor.
