of <h1>Meghalaya Extends Deadline for Promoters to Opt for Old MGST Rates with ITC; Modified Notification Issued.</h1> The Government of Meghalaya has amended the rates for the supply of services under the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax (MGST) Act. The amendment extends the deadline for promoters to opt to pay tax at the old rates of 12% or 8% with Input Tax Credit (ITC). This change modifies the previous notification dated 29th June 2017, by replacing the date '10th' with '20th' in specified entries within the notification and its annexure. This decision, recommended by the Council, is deemed necessary in the public interest.
