of <h1>Goa Amends GST Notification: New Clause for Electrically Operated Vehicles for Local Authorities, Effective August 1, 2019.</h1> The Government of Goa has amended Notification No. 38/1/2017-Fin(R&C)(12/2017-Rate) under the Goa Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from August 1, 2019, the amendment introduces a new clause under serial number 22 in the notification's table. This clause pertains to electrically operated vehicles designed to carry more than twelve passengers for local authorities. An 'Electrically operated vehicle' is defined as one powered solely by electrical energy from an external source or batteries, as classified under Chapter 87 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975.
