<h1>Government Withdraws SEZ Notification for IT Sector in Navi Mumbai; Area to be De-notified After State Approval.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded Notification No. S.O. 1116(E) dated 8th May 2008, concerning a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT/ITES-B sector proposed by a private company in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The area, initially notified as 38.28 hectares, is to be de-notified following the company's proposal. The State Government of Maharashtra has issued a 'No Objection' letter, and the Development Commissioner of SEEPZ-SEZ has recommended the de-notification. This decision is made under the authority of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006.
