<h1>SEBI Renews Guwahati Stock Exchange Recognition for One Year; Compliance with March 2007 Inspection Required.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has renewed the recognition of the Guwahati Stock Exchange Limited for one year, from May 1, 2007, to April 30, 2008, under the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. The renewal is contingent upon the exchange complying with observations and suggestions from SEBI's inspection conducted in March 2007. The exchange's registered office is located in Guwahati, Assam. Trading can only commence after addressing the issues noted in SEBI's inspection report, communicated to the exchange on April 5, 2007.
