of <h1>Sikkim Government Enacts Section 51 of GST Act for Authorities, Societies, and PSUs Effective October 1, 2018.</h1> The Government of Sikkim, through its Finance, Revenue, and Expenditure Department, has issued Notification No. 50/2018, superseding the previous Notification No. 33/2017. This notification, effective from October 1, 2018, enacts the provisions of section 51 of the Sikkim Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. It applies to specific entities such as authorities or boards established by legislation, societies formed under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and public sector undertakings. These entities must comply with the requirements specified under section 51 of the Act.
