of <h1>Bihar GST Act 2017: Officers Re-designated from VAT Roles to New GST Positions, No Extra Pay Benefits.</h1> The Governor of Bihar, under the authority of the Bihar Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has re-designated officers from the Bihar Value Added Tax Act, 2005 to new positions under the GST framework. The changes are as follows: Commercial Taxes Officer to Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes to Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes to Joint Commissioner of State Tax, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes to Additional Commissioner of State Tax, Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes to Special Commissioner of State Tax, and Commissioner of Commercial Taxes to Commissioner of State Tax. No additional monetary benefits will accompany these changes. The effective date will be notified by the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes.
