of <h1>Punjab Amends GST Act: Housekeeping, Plumbing, Carpentry Services Exempt from Registration Unless via E-Commerce Operator.</h1> The Government of Punjab has amended Notification No. S.O.21/P.A.5/2017/S.9/2017, originally dated June 30, 2017, under the Punjab Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from August 22, 2017, the amendment introduces a new clause regarding services like housekeeping, plumbing, and carpentry. These services are exempt from registration requirements unless provided through an electronic commerce operator who is liable for registration under section 22(1) of the Act. This amendment was authorized by the Governor of Punjab upon the Council's recommendation and documented by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Excise and Taxation.
