of <h1>Delhi VAT Amendment Excludes Petrol, Diesel Price Hikes from Sale Price; Repeals 2006 Ordinance</h1> The Delhi Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act, 2006, received assent on November 21, 2006, and amends the Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004. Effective from June 20, 2006, the amendment specifies that increases in the prices of petrol and diesel, including central government duties and levies from June 6, 2006, will not be included in the sale price of these fuels until further notice. This exclusion applies only if the benefit is passed to consumers. Additionally, the Delhi Value Added Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2006, is repealed, with prior actions under it considered valid under the new amendment.
