Committee member remuneration updated to provide daily allowance and boarding and lodging reimbursement for government nominated members. The amendment to sub-rule 17(1) of the Chartered Accountants (Procedure of Investigations of Professional and Other Misconduct and Conduct of Cases) Rules, 2007 provides that members of Committees nominated by the Central Government shall be paid a daily sitting allowance and reimbursed for boarding and lodging in respect of outstation nominees; the amendment is effected under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and takes effect from publication in the Official Gazette.
