<h1>India Sets Mandatory Export-Import Document Requirements Under Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014 Effective April 2015</h1> The Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, has specified mandatory documents required for exporting and importing goods under the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014. Effective April 1, 2015, exporters must provide a Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, a Commercial Invoice cum Packing List, and a Shipping Bill or Bill of Export. Importers must submit a Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, a Commercial Invoice cum Packing List, and a Bill of Entry. Additional documents may be required for specific goods subject to restrictions or compliance, as notified by the relevant regulatory authority.
