of <h1>India Appoints Joint Commissioner as Common Adjudicating Authority for M/s Om Tex Case Involving Customs Dispute</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 60/2014-Customs (N.T.) appointing a Joint Commissioner or Additional Commissioner of Customs from Ahmedabad as the Common Adjudicating Authority. This authority will handle adjudication related to a show cause notice issued to a company, M/s Om Tex, located in Surat. The notice, dated March 21, 2014, was issued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad. The appointed authority will exercise powers and duties for matters involving both the Ahmedabad and Nhava Sheva Custom Houses.
