of <h1>New IT SEZ in Tamil Nadu's Solankurini Village designated as Inland Container Depot per Customs Act, 1962, Section 7.</h1> The Central Government has designated April 22, 2008, as the effective date for the establishment of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT-enabled services in Solankurini Village, Madurai District, Tamil Nadu. This SEZ, developed by a private company, will be recognized as an Inland Container Depot as per Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962. This action is executed under the authority granted by the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
