of <h1>Government Approves Multi-Services SEZ in Kalamboli, Maharashtra for Light Engineering Sector; Covers 176.7 Hectares.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notification regarding the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the light engineering sector in Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. M/s. Navi Mumbai SEZ Private Limited proposed this under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government approved the proposal, granting a letter of approval for the SEZ's development, operation, and maintenance. Subsequently, the SEZ was converted into a multi-services SEZ. The notified area covers 176.7080 hectares, including specified pocket and sector numbers. The notification was formalized by the Joint Secretary, Anil Mukim.
