of <h1>Government Establishes Aerospace SEZ in Andhra Pradesh Effective December 24, 2008, Under SEZ Act, 2005 and Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Government, under the powers of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, designated December 24, 2008, as the effective date for establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for aerospace and precision engineering industries. This SEZ, located in Aditya Nagar, Adhibatla Village, Ibrahimpatnam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Andhra Pradesh, is to be developed by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). It will be recognized as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.
