Greater Noida, April 8, 2026: The opening day of electronica India and productronica India 2026 in Greater Noida saw a decisive mix of policy signalling and business intent, as senior government leaders and industry stakeholders converged at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The inauguration was graced by several dignitaries, including: Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna – Hon’ble Finance Minister and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Uttar Pradesh , Shri Jitin Prasada – Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Electronics and IT and Commerce and Industry, Government of India , Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ – Hon’ble Minister for Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI, Investment Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh , Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma – Hon’ble Minister for IT & Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ajit Singh Pal – Hon’ble Minister of State Science and Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Alok Kumar - Principal Secretary, IT & Electronics Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Dr Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO, Messe München Group, Bhupinder Singh, President – IMEA, Messe München & CEO, Messe Muenchen India.
Their participation reflected a coordinated push to position the Noida–Greater Noida corridor as a serious manufacturing base supported by infrastructure, policy incentives, and proximity to key markets.
In parallel, discussions at the Uttar Pradesh Electronics Leadership Summit focused on infrastructure readiness, investment facilitation, and industrial expansion plans, with participation from senior officials and industry leaders.
The Chief Guest for the inaugural function, Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Hon’ble Finance Minister, and Parliamentary Affairs Government of Uttar Pradesh, said, “Uttar Pradesh has undergone a significant transformation over the past decade, emerging as a stable and investment-ready state. With initiatives like PLI and the push towards component manufacturing, we are moving beyond assembly towards owning the value chain. Our goal is clear, to not only make for India, but to make for the world. We are committed to providing a stable policy environment, ease of doing business, and long-term support for investments. We invite global and domestic partners to be part of this growth story, as India positions itself as a reliable and scalable electronics manufacturing destination.” Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, Hon’ble Minister for Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI, Investment Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, said, “Electronics has become central to both everyday life and industrial growth, and Uttar Pradesh is rapidly emerging as a key hub for this transformation. By midday on Day 1, exhibitor booths across components, EMS, and PCB segments reported steady engagement from decision-makers. Industry bodies such as ELCINA and ICEA are anchoring parallel discussions on supply chain gaps, domestic manufacturing, and export readiness.
