These residential units are located inside the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, which is affiliated to the Tata Memorial Centre. Citi has extended both Capex and Opex support to St. Judes for this project. In addition to safe and hygienic accommodation, the ACTREC facility offers nutritious meals, counselling sessions, educational assistance, and transportation for children undergoing cancer treatment. The project is St. Judes’ largest facility of its kind. It is a 12-storey, 234-unit complex, which once fully operational, is projected to provide free accommodation to over 700 families annually. The inauguration of the ACTREC facility was held in the presence of K Balasubramanian, CEO & Banking Head of Citi India. Ms Manisha Parthasarathy, Chairperson, and Mr Anil Nair, CEO, both from St. Judes India, were also present at the event. Citi India has been associated with St. Judes since 2014, contributing through Third Circle activities, such as educational and entertainment sessions for children and parents, volunteering initiatives, and a payroll-giving partnership that enabled employees to directly extend their financial support to the cause.
