of <h1>Unified Pension Scheme option for NPS subscribers under Notification F. No. FX-1/3/2024-PR, apply by 30.11.2025</h1> The Ministry of Finance has implemented the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for eligible Central Government employees and National Pension System (NPS) subscribers under Notification F. No. FX-1/3/2024-PR dated 24.01.2025. Eligible employees and past retirees covered under NPS may opt into UPS by submitting an application online through the Central Recordkeeping Agency system or via physical form to their nodal office on or before 30.11.2025. Nodal offices must process requests per the prescribed procedure. UPS offers benefits including tax exemptions, benefits on resignation and compulsory retirement, and a switch option. Subscribers who opt for UPS retain the right to switch back to NPS later.
