Two states pledge zero-tolerance to terrorism, coordinate on ceasefire, hostage returns, connectivity, trade, and labor protections
Two states conducted ministerial talks to strengthen counterterrorism cooperation, advocate a global 'zero tolerance' approach to terrorism, and coordinate positions on a recently brokered regional peace plan aimed at ceasefire and hostage returns. They discussed implementation and legal/regulatory implications of a transregional connectivity project and related cooperation in trade, infrastructure, investment, agriculture, semiconductors and cyber security. Delegations noted a newly concluded bilateral investment agreement and a mobility understanding affecting migrant workers, highlighting pending labour-protection and compliance issues. They also affirmed support for multilateral corridor initiatives and contemplated a high-level official visit to advance implementation.
