<h1>State reports Rs 3,021 crore net GST in October 2025, 8.77% year-on-year rise despite rate cuts</h1> A state tax department reported net GST receipts of Rs 3,021 crore for October 2025, the second-highest October total since 2017, a year-on-year increase of 8.77% despite rate cuts; gross GST was Rs 3,490 crore. SGST accounted for Rs 1,247 crore (+6.2%) and IGST settlements Rs 1,773 crore (+10.65%). Petroleum VAT rose 7.88% to Rs 1,282 crore, and professional tax grew 18.26% for the month. Total tax collections were Rs 4,458 crore (+8.03%). The department attributed gains to enhanced data analytics and AI, better central-state coordination, targeted audits, and stricter compliance enforcement.
