<h1>Rail systems firm wins Rs 2,481-crore contract to supply, install and maintain 132 metro coaches and systems</h1> A rail systems company has secured a Rs 2,481-crore contract from a metropolitan development authority to design, manufacture, supply and commission 132 metro coaches and associated systems for a suburban metro Line 5 corridor. The contract encompasses signalling for 24.9 km of track, telecommunications across 16 stations, platform screen doors, depot machinery and five years of comprehensive maintenance, covering both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the corridor. Manufacturing is slated at the company's passenger rail facility near Kolkata. This represents the company's second major award for the city's metro network.
