<h1>Kerala to mark Nov 1 as free of extreme poverty following targeted micro plans, housing, food and livelihood measures.</h1> The state announced Kerala will be declared free of extreme poverty on November 1 after identifying 64,006 vulnerable families and creating individualized micro plans. With over Rs 1,000 crore invested, the programme supplied daily food to 20,648 families (2,210 hot meals), treatment and medicine to 85,721 individuals, housing support including 5,400 new homes and 5,522 repairs, land to 2,713 families, essential documents to 21,263 people, and livelihood projects for 4,394 families via local self governments, community networks and government departments.
