        <h1>Barley, maize and turmeric procurement set with support prices to incentivise natural farming and expand collection centres.</h1> The government initiated procurement of kharif crops grown under natural farming with specified support prices, having bought 140 quintals of barley at Rs 60/kg. It set quantified procurement targets and farmer participation figures for maize (2,371.71 quintals from 1,473 farmers via 28 collection centres) and raw turmeric (2,422.65 quintals from 1,629 farmers via 12 centres), and fixed support prices of Rs 60/kg for wheat and barley, Rs 40/kg for maize, and Rs 90/kg for raw turmeric.
