The state implemented the scheme on June 30, 2024, raising annual assistance from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 and plans to increase it to Rs 9,000 in 2025-26. The state program supplements the central Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, targets small and marginal farmers, reports over 71.79 lakh beneficiaries under the central scheme in the state, and uses grassroots outreach to expand participation.
