<h1>Government greenlights Rs 22,002 crore incentives for foreign tech subsidiary to build 1,000+ MW data centres</h1> A foreign tech company's local subsidiary will receive government incentives capped at Rs 22,002 crore for phased development of over 1,000 MW data centres with cumulative investment of Rs 87,520 crore in two districts, under a state order approved by the council of ministers. Incentives include discounted allocation of specified acreage, up to 15 acres for a cable landing station, 100% stamp duty and registration exemptions, 10% capital subsidy on plant and machinery for ten years, 100% reimbursement of net SGST on construction capped at Rs 2,245 crore, and power at Rs 1/unit (subject to caps and milestone conditions) with varying duration limits.
