<h1>Prime Minister unveils Rs 35,440 crore pulses programs: PM-DDKY Rs 24,000 crore and Rs 11,440 crore Mission till 2030-31</h1> The Prime Minister announced two centrally funded agricultural schemes with a combined outlay of Rs 35,440 crore-a Rs 24,000-crore Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PM-DDKY) and an Rs 11,440-crore Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses-approved by Cabinet and to run from the upcoming rabi season through 2030-31, aiming to raise pulses acreage and output and to uplift 100 low-performing districts by integrating 36 inter-ministerial schemes. The address emphasized targets, funding, district-level implementation responsibility (including District Magistrates/Collectors), market diversification, reduced import dependence, and cited past policy failures and claimed historical subsidy, budgetary and export improvements as legal and administrative bases for the initiatives.
